Watch: The Bro Coach® Approach

On the outside, you look successful.

In reality, you're having trouble with answering questions of identity and purpose.

Hey, man. Chances are that you're a guy between 30-something and 50-something on average, maybe younger, maybe older, who has the following characteristics. You are success-driven. You are a high achiever who equates performance with value. You're either in a relationship or you want to be in a relationship. You either have kids or you want kids. Or maybe for some reason that's not on your plate. But either way, you're kind of a more traditional get-married, settle-down kind of guy. Your anxieties are focused around wanting to make sure that you're a good provider, a good protector, and that your performance really speaks to your worth.

The Problems Nobody Talks About

The problems that you may be having, and I know this from 25,000 hours of coaching, include maybe you don't have job security. You might be at a good job. You might be earning between $200,000 and a million dollars a year. I know that's a broad range, but my guys come from all walks of life, and maybe you're thinking: I earn enough money to pay for a quality of life that I feel happy with, but I don't have financial stability and security. If I lose my job, I'm fucked.

I don't have enough money saved away that I feel like my wealth snowball is something that I can just draw the standard 3% and live off of. I am constantly obsessed with worrying about building the nest egg so that I can relax and be present with my family.

"You're Not Present"

In the meantime, I'm being criticized by my partner, by my kids in some circumstances, even by friends, like, "Hey, we never hear from you. When you're around, you always seem distracted. You're not present." And it calls to mind the question: what is the point of any of this if I die at the end of it all looking back and realize I never took a moment to live my life? I don't want to live to work. I want to work to live. And I feel like there might be a mindset shift that I need to make, but I don't know what that is, and I feel like I need a coach.

What You Really Need

So I'm somewhere between needing an accountability coach to make sure I check my boxes, but then also needing somebody who can give me male mentorship that overlaps with the therapist-counselor experience so that I can talk about why I have such self-limiting beliefs and why I'm constantly running this scarcity mindset and what I can do to correct that and operate like a winner and not like a highly successful loser.

The Other Struggles

There are other aspects of this avatar as well, which include social anxiety. A lot of my guys tend to be more on the introverted side, and they want friendships, but they don't know how to have them. They find themselves using dopamine traps as a way of coping. That can be things like comfort eating, weed, alcohol, porn, even a hobby that gets out of control, like nerding out on a digital project, an IT project, an AI project, doom scrolling.

These guys are all basically saying: it's not that my life is on fire, but on the outside, I look successful, and in reality, I'm having trouble with answering questions of identity and purpose.

And the clock is ticking, and I feel like I need something between an accountability coach, a therapist, and if I'm totally honest, a big brother or father figure.

I've Been There

Meet Dennis in his own words

Listen, man. At the time of this writing, I am 55 years old. If you know my past, then you know that I come from an absolute hero's journey. I have had experiences that literally should kill a person. These range from psychological, physical, emotional abuse to behaviors that found me in trouble socially and even in jail, which include womanizing, anger management, depression, suicidal ideation, and detachment. Basically, you name it, if it's bad, I've done it.

The Cinderella Myth

I always thought that if I made a certain amount of money and bought a house and had cars and had a wife who loved me and had a kid or kids and a dog and a white fence, that all of my internal turmoil would go away. That it would be this Cinderella moment where I went from rags to riches and I lived happily ever after.

The Reality

The truth of the matter is that in my 13th year of running and building Man-UP! Life Coaching, I find myself as the father of a teenage son with disabilities who is still very concerned about his future.

I find myself as the husband of a wife who's constantly struggling to justify her legal experience and her law school experience, and wanting to be not just an equal partner in our dynamic, but to feel fulfilled in terms of her professional legacy as well. She also wants to date me, not just to have me be some benefactor who she has transactional interactions with.

And I also have a whole bunch of guys on my back now that I'm the leader of a community of men. And if you think I don't go to bed at night, like King Solomon, wondering if cutting the baby in half was the right decision, then you don't get it.

Still Practicing

A coach is not a master. Even though I'm a master coach, I don't think of myself as a master in some absolute sense. I think of somebody who's practicing mastery.

The same practices that I am asking you to practice as a white belt in this system are the same practices that I'm practicing as a fourth-degree black belt. It's a higher level of practice, but it's the same shit.

The Stakes: Two Paths

Path One: Keep Pretending Everything's Fine

If you're a guy who recognizes that you struggle with some of the things that I've laid out, you're still working on your identity. Who am I? And you're working on your legacy. What is my purpose? Not how do I make money, but why do I get out of bed in the morning? And how do I experience a life in which I'm able to be my most authentic self rather than walking around on eggshells, keeping my wife in princess mode because happy wife, happy life, trying my hardest not to be a toxic father and repeat some of the mistakes that previous generations of fathers have made.

What happens if I just keep going and don't get a coach and just keep smiling and waving and saying, "This is fine, this is fine, this is fine" until I'm in my 70s or 80s with that "please kill me" look in my face because I haven't really lived?

Well, I think that's exactly what happens. You compromise your quality of life because you're so busy trying to accommodate and please everybody else and apologize not only for your masculinity, but for your own authenticity.

And when you're finally on your deathbed, you're looking back going, "God damn it. I missed my opportunity to be alive."

Path Two: Man-UP!

On the other side of this, what happens if I do come to not only coaching, but specifically to Man-UP! Life Coaching? You enter into a culture of men who are a community led by coaches, starting with Dennis, the master coach. But also including coaches like Coach Faisal, Coach Zach, Coach Steve, Coach Matt, who have spent years training to not only work on these problems in their own lives, but to be able to pay these protocols forward.

What Are The Protocols?

They're beyond the scope of this quick synopsis. But you'll learn in the call that there is a methodology here that works.

What does it do? It examines the mistakes that you're making that you don't realize that you're making. Your coach draws not only from personal experience, but from a data corpus of hundreds upon hundreds upon hundreds of men. It's not an exaggerated number. That's a conservative number.

You will learn that there are the things that you know that you need to fix, but there are also the things that you don't know that you don't know. And that's where working with a master coach drawing from such a rich database becomes literally invaluable.

This Is Real Mentorship

This is not just asking ChatGPT should I pick the lint out of my belly button with my right hand or my left hand.

This is the indescribable human coach mentorship moment that has been defining mentorship since Merlin and King Arthur, since Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi, since Neo and Morpheus.

And this level of mentorship is absolutely critical to learning not only how to be successful, but what success actually is.

And the truth is that success is peace. And rich is the man who knows he has enough. And that is what you will learn here.

Why This Is Different

One of the mistakes that guys make coming into my culture: they've read all of the books. They've read Atomic Habits. They've read Eat That Frog. They've read the King, Warrior, Sage. They've read I Will Teach You to Be Rich. They've read every single one of those self-help books that we're all familiar with as men.

So why do they keep buying self-help books?

Because they are looking for the instructions that are going to fix something that doesn't get fixed through instruction. It gets fixed through discovery.

Instructions vs. Discovery

What do I mean by that? I mean that you cannot hire someone to tell you to feel good or man up and feel good. That doesn't work. That doesn't cure depression. You don't know what you don't know.

This culture teaches you how to make one meta upstream adjustment, which is a Boolean toggle. And when you toggle it, there is a trickle-down effect and everything else changes.

You learn that it doesn't matter if you're a CEO or a solopreneur. You learn that it doesn't matter if you have a $600,000 house or several multi-million dollar mansions and your yacht has a yacht.

You learn that self-help really is and always will be about learning to remove judgment and replace it with love.

Come for the Abs, Stay for the Enlightenment

And for as much of an antithetical premise as that might be for a business that calls itself Man-UP, the truth of Man-UP is, as I've always said, guys come for the abs, but they stay for the enlightenment.

They come here working on self-esteem and wanting to channel their inner David Goggins and check all the boxes and be the most successful person on paper so that society will love and accept them.

But the game they're always playing is learning to accept themselves. And that's not a question of self-esteem. It's a question of self-worth.

And how you work on self-worth involves love and the relationship that you establish with your coach, where that brotherly love becomes not just theoretical, but something that you practice. That is where real men are made and where the switch finally goes off in your head.

What Being Alpha Actually Means

Being alpha isn't being a macho knuckle-dragging troglodyte.

It's being available to others as a mirror in which they see themselves as loved, and allowing others to be that mirror for you in kind.

And if that sounds complicated, it is, which is why I've had clients stay for five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten years. True story.

The Bro Coach® Approach

Our program is based on time-tested methodologies which target four common areas of deficiency.

Problem Solving

You solve complex problems at work every day. But emotional and relational challenges require different tools.

We teach you to assess stressful situations without reactive patterns, apply your analytical mind to emotional intelligence, and solve problems without creating new ones.

Discipline & Routine

Success isn't accidental. It's systematic.

We help you build sustainable daily, weekly, and monthly routines that support your goals, not just at work, but at home. Structure creates freedom.

Creativity & Mindfulness

High-performers often live in their heads. Constantly planning, analyzing, optimizing.

We teach you to unlock deeper creative potential and achieve calm amidst chaos. Presence isn't weakness. It's a competitive advantage.

Validation & Confidence

Most men seek validation externally: through achievement, approval, performance.

We help you build unshakeable self-worth from within. Conquer fear and judgment. Strengthen relationships. Stop performing and start being.
