Private 1:1 · For High-Achieving Men First strategy session is free · No sales pitch

Life Coaching
for Executives.

You built what you were supposed to build. The income is strong, the title is good, the externals all check. By every objective measure of a successful life, you have done it. And quietly, somewhere at the top, you feel hollow.

You are not in crisis. You are not depressed in a clinical way. You have just run out of road on the current map, and the world keeps treating you like you have nothing to be hollow about.

Who This Is For

Not for men in crisis. For the high-achiever who finished the chase and found a hollow at the top.

You are 42, or 47, or 53. The income is strong. The marriage works, mostly. The kids are good. The house is the one you would have pointed at when you were 25 and said that one. You should be content. Instead you are sitting in your car in the driveway after a long day, and you cannot make yourself go inside.

Or you are at dinner with friends and you realize you have not said anything real in two hours. Or you are in a board meeting and you catch yourself thinking, what is the actual point of any of this.

This is not a midlife crisis in the cliched sense. You are not about to buy a sports car or leave your wife. You are at the inflection point a lot of high-achieving men hit when they finish chasing the things they thought would make them feel like the man they wanted to be, and discover the chase was the only thing holding the identity together.

You spent twenty years answering, "who am I" with "I am the man who provides." That worked until it did not. The work is to answer it in the right order this time.

Dennis Procopio

Most high-achieving men are running a 24/7 internal show for an audience that stopped paying attention twenty years ago. Knocking that off is the first real exhale. It usually takes about eight weeks before you notice it is happening.

Coaching vs. Therapy

Two different tools. One question: who do I want to be next?

Therapy is a real and useful tool for some of what you are going through. If you are carrying clinical depression or unprocessed trauma, see a therapist first. This is a different tool, and understanding the difference will save you a lot of time.

Option A

Therapy

Mostly about understanding the past. A clinical lens on what happened to you, how patterns formed, and what needs processing before you can move forward.

  • Clinical frame, often diagnostic
  • Backward-facing: past and processing
  • The right call for depression or trauma
  • Best when you need to heal something specific
Option B

Life Coaching for Executives

Mostly about deciding the future. Identity work for the high-functioning man who has run out of road on his current map and needs to figure out who he wants to be next.

  • Identity and direction frame
  • Forward-facing: who you want to be next
  • The right call when you are functioning but hollow
  • Best when the question is what do I do with the next 20 years

A therapist will mostly help you understand the past. A coach will help you decide the future. The two are compatible, and a lot of our clients do both.

Dennis Procopio

This is also not "executive coaching" in the corporate sense. It is not about your career performance, your KPIs, or your team. Some of that comes up because work occupies most of your hours. But the work itself is on you, the man, not on you, the role.

What Changes

What changes for high-achieving men who do this work.

The changes for men in your profile are subtler and slower than for men in active crisis. They go deeper, and they last.

Dennis Procopio

The changes are not promises. They are patterns we have watched play out across hundreds of high-achieving men over thirteen years. The core shift: you stop running someone else's program for who you are supposed to be.

  • You stop performing for an invisible audience. The 24/7 internal show finally quiets. It usually takes about eight weeks.

  • The hollow stops being unbearable and starts being information. You can be in it and keep moving.

  • You start saying things you have been not-saying to your wife, your kids, your business partners. The relationships that survive this become deeper.

  • Your relationship to work changes structurally. Some men sell the company. Some recommit harder than ever. The outcome is not the point. Having a conscious answer to "why" is.

  • You stop running someone else's program for who you are supposed to be. The common thread is internal, not external.

When you are on your deathbed and you look back, what time expenditure will you think had the most impact on your legacy?

What the work actually changes.

I want to be able to say that when my wife was telling me about some book she read, my mind wasn't racing to other things that were more important. I was fully engaged.

Meet Your Coach

13 years. 25,000 hours.
One conversation.

Dennis Procopio founded MAN-UP! Life Coaching in 2013. He has logged more than 25,000 hours of one-on-one coaching with men, a meaningful slice of them in the situation you are in: high-earning, high-functioning, and quietly running out of internal road.

He is known as The Bro Coach®. The name is intentional. He coaches like a brother who has seen this before, not like a clinician who wants you to sit with your feelings. He will be direct. He will push back. He will also notice things about your interior life you have stopped letting yourself see.

His frame for this work: you are trying to figure out who you are so it can inform why you are here. Most men spend their first half answering those questions in reverse. The work is to do it in the right order this time.

What to Expect

What the first 30 days actually look like.

Step One
01

The Strategy Session

30 minutes. Free. You walk in with whatever you have got. Sometimes that is "I do not know what is wrong, but something is." Sometimes it is a clear list. You leave with a clear read on whether one-on-one coaching is the right fit, and either a recommendation to start or a pointer to whatever else might be more useful.

Step Two
02

The Gap Gets Named

First coaching session. We start with the gap between who you are publicly and who you are when no one is looking. This is uncomfortable and that is the point. You leave with a specific question to live with for the week.

Step Three
03

The Real Work Starts

We meet weekly. By this stage you will usually have started saying out loud things you have been thinking for years. Some of it will land harder than you expect. That is normal. By the 30-day mark, you have a different read on your own life than you did when you booked the call.

Common Questions

Questions high-achievers ask before they call.

Is this just life coaching, or is it executive coaching?
It is life coaching for men who happen to be executives. We do not focus on your career performance or your team. We focus on you, the man underneath the role. Career questions come up because work occupies most of your hours, but the work is on the person, not the position.
I am not in crisis. I am doing fine. Why would I need a coach?
Most men in your profile are not in crisis when they start. The reason to start anyway is that the inflection point you are at gets harder to navigate, not easier, the longer you sit in it. Men who do this work in their late 40s tend to look back and say they wish they had started in their early 40s.
How is coaching different from therapy for someone like me?
Therapy is mostly about understanding the past. Coaching is mostly about deciding the future. If you are carrying clinical depression or unprocessed trauma, see a therapist first. If you are functioning well, hitting your numbers, and quietly out of road on the current map, that is coaching territory. Many of our clients do both. Read the full breakdown.
How long does this take?
Most men work with us for 12 to 24 months. The first three months are mostly about getting honest. The next nine are where the actual identity reconstruction happens. Some men stay longer because they have built something they do not want to lose. We are not a quick fix and we do not pretend to be.
